Tomoko visiting Japan for the first time in over a half century. As she does this, she looks back - and ahead. "I am more inspired now than ever in looking ahead," she says. "I feel very accomplished and proud of what I have done."
She continues. "When I was 40, I didn't think about when I would get older. I was thinking about the work I was doing then. Now I have a legacy, and I want to do more. I play better now because I have a richer sense of the music. I am as healthy as I was at age 40. My mind is working as well as when I was 40. I am very lucky. I thank God."
How does she feel now? "I don't worry as much now. I am happy and very appreciative of life. I am excited to see more and experience more; always something new."
She concludes: "Isn't life wonderful?"
And that is how to age gracefully -- and gratefully.
